The Christian Worldview Series:

Living Now in the Spirit of the Millennium Reign
They Shall Learn War No More

We look forward to the return of Christ, and the Millennium, when we will rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years. During that time, war on earth will cease:

"And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Micah 4:3

Our mortal bodies of clay will be resurrected and changed, but how will our hearts be different then than they are now? What is left to be done to them that has not already been done when we received the Holy Spirit? Is there another spirit that we will receive at that time that will cause us to love others the way God loves us?

If we are born again of the Holy Spirit of God, then we have been changed and translated into His Kingdom. We are already there. Obviously that is what the Word says, we have been translated and are seated with Christ in heavenly places. How then are we to be in this world that is now foreign to us. As ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, are we to live as the world? or shouldn't we represent the desires of our King? As ambassadors, do we not already walk in the Spirit of Jesus' kingdom as we wait for His Kingdom to Come on the Earth?

This will be done on earth in the end when all nations are put under His footstool. But now, in the midst of all evil and war on earth, does not this spirit and desire already dwell in the hearts of his ambassadors, and should not this be the Gospel of his kingdom that we preach and demonstrate?

We pray in the Lord's Prayer Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We pray forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. If we are not walking in this kind of Love, we had better come to the throne of grace and ask for a heart transplant.
